At last the rain stopped here in the South Lakes, sadly it seems to have moved a little South to Lancashire and West Yorkshire. We took the opportunity to go for a short walk in the winter sunshine...something of rarity here recently!

The view South from near the summit, it looks like there are two rivers flowing out of Windermere.... |

North from the Summit of Gummers How, the next front forming :-( It was great to be out in the dry for a change! |
Gummers How is high on my 'must revisit' list. Last time I was there I was in a carrier on my father's back, or at least I was until he tripped, fell and sent me flying out of said carrier. I still have a tiny scar on my forehead by way of a souvenir. Obviously, I have no recollection of the event, so really must go and look at the hill on which I incurred my first walking injury!
ReplyDeleteOh dear...the path has been repaired over the past few years. It's a Birkett, if you get round to ticking them off...life after the Marilyns? :-))
