Easedale Tarn
A walk up to Easedale Tarn and then Codale Tarn, back over Tarn Crag. Wet for much of the day although dry back at home. The wetness was welcome as the secondary reason was for a bit of gear testing. The picture is of the Golite Cave 1 at Easedale, a most satisfactory lunch shelter.

Buttermere
A great walk, one of the Lakes best in my opinion. The circuit of Buttermere gives fantastic views with every step. The weather helped today of course. The sun shone and made the fells look higher than normal.

Seascale by BMW
An overcast start which turned into a lovely day although cold in the wind. A relaxed ride on the motorbike over to the Duddon valley, Birker Moor, Eskdale, Seascale, down the coast to Silecroft and back home via Coniston. Rather quiet I thought considering it was Easter Sunday. Photo is Black Combe from Silecroft.

Pen-y-ghent
From Horton up to Hull Pot and then along the Foxup Road under leaden skies, it seemed only a matter of time before the rain came on. We sheltered behind a wall for lunch at the high point of the track, the first few spots of rain were driven in on the strong westerly wind. We struck up beside the wall Arriving sooner than we thought at the top of Plover Hill. A very boggy walk along the broad ridge and we were on the summit of Pen-y-ghent, not alone as usual. Down the nose as the cloud cleared at last, the well worn path lead us back to Bracken Bottom.

Moughton Scar
A very breezy walk over Moughton Scar, although it did stay dry. I used the opportunity to test pitch my Golite Cave tarp, still easy even with the wind and all was serene under it. I came across a fox on the top which trotted off when it saw me, there was a pair of Peregrines on the way back as well, the sun was welcme when it shone.
